Welcome to the Greenmann aquatics website. This will grow as we grow and hopefully will not only be about our shop but will be a great resource to help you with your fish keeping.
At Greenmann aquatics you will find a large outside area with everything from large koi to small goldfish. The koi system holds 10000 gallons, split between 4 ponds and one large pond, all these ponds have viewing panels. The other side you will find 18 vats for other fish and koi up to 12".
You will also find outside 10 plant tables and a display of aquifers, and other things to make your garden beautiful. Although we don’t keep lots of fibreglass ponds in stock we do have a few on display and can get then in within a few days for you, pvc and rubber liner is always available.
Coming soon will be Homer our Alligator snapping turtle – he has a 1500 gallon round enclosure being built for him. His arrival will be announced via our mailing list so do join up.
Inside we have 24 tanks dedicated to fancy coldwater fish. We always have a good stock of these as we really like them ourselves.
There are 71 tropical tanks – a few of which are on a low ph system. Our fish house will always be worth a look as we like rare and unusual fish, and shrimps and snails etc.
Our large plant unit has UV lighting and a CO2 unit to encourage plant growth whilst they are with us.
The marine section is just being finished and we hope to have livestock in by the end of October 2008. There is a 2m x 1m coral tank. 28 Marine fish tanks and 16 invert tanks.
Our dry goods section is small but effective, and holds a large number of products for its space, without being cluttered. If you can’t see what you want please do ask as a lot of the really useful little bits aren’t on display.
We hope that you will take the time to come and visit us. The garden centre has lots of other shops to enjoy whilst you are here and a very good restaurant for that cup of tea and slice of cake.
